Volunteering for Public Archaeology Saturdays

From May 15 through July 3 CCAS members volunteered for the Public Archaeology Saturdays conducted by Port Tobacco Archaeological Project (PTAP) at the Port Tobacco Courthouse.  While we washed artifacts that were found during the Burch House excavations, we also learned about colonial and post colonial ceramics, buttons, animal bones, etc.

Scott Lawrence (PTAP) and CCAS members Phil Angle and Steve Lohr are washing Burch House artifacts.  Other CCAS members participating are Elsie Picyk, Carol Cowherd, Jane Keller, and Jim Gibb.
